Eight friends adopted a dog and her 7 puppies during bachelor party

Bachelor parties are always moments to be treasured. Sometimes may happen things that is better not to tell anyone, but in the case of Mitchel Craddock from Vicksburg, Michigan, he had no choice but to tell the truth about the female who crashed his party.

The groom-to-be and his seven friends were on a five-day, four-wheeling party in the woods of East Tennessee, when a skinny stray dog approached their cabin staring at them.

“My buddy was cooking bacon, burning it so we had the door to the cabin open. Next thing, we look over and she’s just standing there. We couldn’t get her to come inside. She was just watching us as we ate breakfast with the door open ”

The sweet dog, visibly hungry, was too shy and scared to come inside.

Mitchel Craddock soon realized that the shy dog had recently become a mom, but was so dehydrated and malnourished that also her milk had dried up. “After we gave her a bunch of food and water, she started producing milk again. So we figured if she’s making milk, her pups can’t be that old”

The eight friends decided to follow her into the woods until they found a big hole where she was hiding her seven pups.

We set each pup individually down in front of her, and she nuzzled their faces, and she checked out the pups, and to the person holding them, she gave the look of ‘It’s OK, I trust you,’” Craddock said.

Despite the difficult conditions, the puppies were healthy: “Every single one had a big fat belly on them. The mom had given the pups literally everything she had .”

All eight puppies and their mom were adopted by the groom and his groomsmen or their relatives. They all live in nice houses, very close to each other (within a 5-mile radius).
A gesture that has been appreciated also by the bride, Kristen. thrilled to the idea that he would come home with a new puppy. “I proposed to her with our chocolate Lab, and now it’s our joke that for any of our big life events, we’ll get a dog,” Craddock said.
